Who either wants to lose weight or just wants to get healthier this year?
I personally need to lose that 2020 weight (15 pounds) and be healthier to get off my asthma medications. Many of you that know me knows I love to hike!! It’s like one of my favorite things EVER.
How about a hiking (or walking) challenge?
Here’s how it works:
There is 52 weeks in the year.
The Challenge: I challenge you to at LEAST hike, walk or run 10 miles a week. The more the better, because well we want to be our healthiest.
Accountability: Everyone will post their totals once a month in our accountability group (Simple Lifestyle with Erica Williams). It’s completely FREE to join. So keep track of your daily progress and write it down or use an app like Health (iphone users) or My Fitness Pal. There will be a specific thread posted on the last day of each month.
Prizes: I will choose the highest number of miles or a random winner each month and send you a Health & Wellness Box to keep you inspired. You can jump in anytime you want during 2021. Let’s DO this!

- Reduces your risk for heart disease
- Improves blood pressure & blood sugar levels
- Build strength in your glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, and the muscles in your hips and lower legs.
- Strengthen your core and improves balance
- Helps with weight loss
