My husband told me about these little things he tried at work. Then of course he comes home and tells me I should make them. Does your husband ever do that? anyways. The crisp pretzel with the perfect amount of chocolate and caramel topped with a pecan halve. The best thing about these is that they only take 10-15 minutes to make. My kids love them and they disappear quicker than the time it took to make them. I have made them for the past few years and it’s now a holiday tradition. Just like muddy buddies, pecan pie and pumpkin pie are all on my list.
It’s important to know that the square pretzels are the best to use in this recipe. It’s weird calling this a recipe since it only has three ingredients. You can find the kind I use HERE. You will also need Rolo candies and pecan halves.
Rolo candies (unwrapped)
- Heat oven to 250 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place pretzels on cookie sheet, then top each pretzel with a Rolo candy.
- Bake for 3-5 minutes until the rolo begins to soften but NOT melt.
- Remove from oven and top with Pecan, slightly press it down but do not press so hard that the caramel runs out.
- Let cool and serve.
These are perfect for the holidays and my kids LOVE them!
