As moms we are all just trying to make it through each day. One of the worst things is looking up at the clock and it’s 5 pm and you have no idea what your going to make for dinner. I honestly take way too long staring at my list every week trying to plan 7 meals. I go through phases where I don’t even know what we ate the last week or how we survived. To be honest, I am not the best cook either. My talents are in the baking department. I do love Pinterest and being able to search for dinner ideas. I also have a cute little meal planning book I got from the Target dollar section for $3 to keep track of what we eat. That way I can look back and build weekly menus from what we had the previous weeks. It’s a work in progress but has been helping.
When meal planning I try to spread out things like chicken and beef so we don’t have them back to back. I also try to do things like taco Tuesdays or Thursday because we love our tacos around here. We also try to plan at least one meatless meal per week like grilled cheese and tomato soup. That keeps the grocery bill low and I don’t have to “cook” every night. Friday nights we tend to eat out if I don’t have something planned. Again, I try to make this as easy as possible because I don’t like cooking or meal planning.
We do have our favorite dinners that keep circling around. We recently got a wok that opened up so many options for dinners. I mean it was $14 at our local grocery store, can’t really complain. It works really well and it’s not cast iron so I don’t have to worry about seasoning it. Check out our favorites below and I have included the links, make sure to thank me later.
